"Gegeerel" Book Club Opens New Academic Year at MSUE Teachers' School

Under the motto "Read. Think. Grow.," the club kicks off its activities to foster reading culture and critical thinking among future teachers.

The opening ceremony for the new academic year of the "Gegeerel" book club—aimed at supporting reading culture, personal development, and professional skills among students of the Teachers' School at the Mongolian State University of Education (MSUE)—was successfully held under the motto "Read. Think. Grow."

The opening event was attended by the leadership, faculty, and students of the Teachers' School, who exchanged thoughts on the value of books and the importance of cultivating reading habits among young people.

Creating an Environment for Personal Growth Through Diverse Activities

Rather than simply encouraging reading, the "Gegeerel" book club aims to create a supportive environment where students can reflect on what they read, listen to and respect diverse perspectives, express their own viewpoints freely, and share knowledge.

For the upcoming academic year, the club plans to organize a variety of activities, including:

• Creative book journaling

• Book exchanges

• Personal development workshops and meetings

Organizers highlighted that these initiatives will help students develop reading habits, critical thinking, communication, and self-expression skills—contributing significantly to shaping future educators into lifelong learners and inquisitive individuals.
