Ulaanbaatar – As part of the national policy to enhance the quality and accessibility of higher education, significant improvements have been made in the living conditions and infrastructure of Student Dormitories 1 and 2. Authorities have released an overview of current conditions, completed renovations, and student enrollment statistics.
In the 2024–2025 academic year, more than 1,200 students are residing in Dormitories 1 and 2. Breakdown of the residents includes:

Over the past two years, the following key renovations have been completed:
Interior Renovation:
More than 50 dorm rooms and 6 floors have been fully refurbished
Restrooms and showers have been upgraded to modern standards
Furniture & Fixtures:
Over 200 mattresses replaced
70% of desks, chairs, and wardrobes updated with new furniture
Outdoor Environment:
Perimeter fencing, walkways, and lighting systems newly installed
Green areas expanded and recreational zones added
To further enhance safety, comfort, and accessibility, the dormitory management has planned the following improvements:
Implementation of smart access control systems (RFID entry, security cameras)
Thermal insulation upgrades to reduce heat loss
Introduction of a digital management system for room bookings, maintenance requests, and payment tracking
