On April 11, 2025, the Department of Music Education of the School of Education at Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE) successfully hosted the third annual “Ekh Ayalguu” Songwriting Festival.
The event brought together students from all four cohorts of the department, who showcased their creativity and musical talent through original compositions. This annual festival aims to support young creators, promote the inheritance of national musical heritage, and foster the development of new works with contemporary flair.
The panel of judges included renowned cultural figures such as State Honored Cultural Worker D.Tsetserleg, State Honored Teacher S.Batbold, and State Honored Cultural Worker O.Sundui. They provided insightful critiques and encouraging guidance to the participants, greatly inspiring their artistic journey.
One of the highlights of the festival was the performance of an original song composed by second-year student Delgermurun, based on the poem "Böödi Bombörsön Nö" written by O.Sundui. Deeply moved by the student’s interpretation, O.Sundui personally presented the student with his signed books as a token of appreciation.
Each year, the festival continues to grow both in participation and the depth of the works presented, reflecting the evolving creativity of MNUE’s music students.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the School of Education’s administration and staff for their support in organizing this inspiring event. Special thanks go to lecturer Davaabazar Batsukh, the founder and lead organizer of the festival, for his continued dedication and success in running it for the third consecutive year.
